Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Candilate. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Overview

Candilate is a career confidence platform operated by Yconsoft Technologies. We provide AI-powered tools to help job seekers analyze their professional profiles, generate ATS-optimized CVs, and improve their career presentation. These Terms govern your use of our website, applications, and services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Candilate. By creating an account, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using Candilate on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or exhibit suspicious activity.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Candilate to:

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our APIs
• Distribute malware, spam, or harmful content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with the security or availability of our services

5. Content and Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you upload or create on Candilate, including your CV data, professional details, and generated documents. We do not claim ownership over your personal information or career content.

By using our AI features, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing our services - such as generating analysis, optimizing CVs, and improving relevance. We do not use your content to train general-purpose AI models without your explicit consent.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription or credit purchase. All fees are quoted in the currency displayed at checkout and are non-refundable except where required by law. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel anytime from your billing settings.

7. AI-Generated Content

Candilate uses artificial intelligence to analyze profiles and generate CV content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated suggestions are not guaranteed to be perfect. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all output before using it in job applications. We strongly recommend that you fact-check all claims, dates, and qualifications.

8. Limitation of Liability

Candilate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yconsoft Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, hiring decisions by third parties, or errors in AI-generated content.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use Candilate ceases immediately, but provisions related to ownership, liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or platform notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through arbitration or the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
